Update on WVLLN 14-19 External Knowledge Exchange Network Launch

The launch of the WVLLN 14-19 EKEN (External Knowledge Exchange Network) at UWE on 20th October 2009 was a great success and attended by 70 participants from HE, FE, Schools and Consortia, Local Authorities and Aimhigher. The programme featured an update on Diploma uptake in the South West region from the DCSF SW 14-19 Education Advisor Bev Langton and a briefing by the DCSF on 14-19 Curriculum Reforms. There was a spirited Q & A session, followed by lunch. The WVLLN 14-19 EKEN Sharepoint site is now live and registration has begun for the next event: The Extended Project: Innovation and Collaboration on 1st December 2009, 0930-1300, UWE Bristol. This will follow a workshop format featuring short presentations and small group discussion. For more information about these events and to book your place on the workshop, please contact EKEN Co-ordinator, Kate Thomas email:
